|

Hello all,
We are accepting pre-orders for Hot Dipped Tinplate. The vendor has upped the minimums and other variables... so we need your help.
28 gauge, fifteen thousands base metal with 4 pounds of tin per side, is quite thick. The sheets are 10 1/4 inches by 14 inches. 50 sheets per box. $250.00 per box plus shipping. We will invoice later. If you have a UPS account, that would help a lot. 40 pounds per box; the box has wooden liners for shipping integrity. The boxes can be shipped with UPS.
I will receive the tin on pallets and then repackage it for shipping to the buyers. The product will have minor runs, drips and blemishes typical of Hot Dipped Tin we have supplied in the past. We will spot check the sheets as best we can but can't guarantee anything other the secure and appropriate Packaging for shipping. The quality of the tin rests on the manufacturer. However, I do not anticipate any issues with quality but there is always a risk.
The time frame for receiving the tin will depend on how soon we get the minimum number of orders and can then send to the manufacturer. The pre-order money collected for the tin will be held in an escrow account for safe keeping. Once we repackage the tin and calculate the shipping, we can send each buyer an email indicating the cost. The email will have "Square" capabilities which enables the buyer to pay their balance securely online through the received email.
Delivery time can be three weeks to two months because of the following variables:
1. The manufacturer first slits the coil into a 10 1/4 inch wide roll.
2. the roll is then sent to the hot dipping processor.
3. After hot dipping, the roll is then sent back to the slitter who then cuts it into sheets.
4. Once we receive the pallets of tin, we can then repackage it for shipping. ( this all depends on where the order fits into the manufacturers lines).
I can post updates on this Forum and on Instagram. We appreciate all that help to keep this product available.
Thank you,
Paul Barnhart

Rolene and I would like to thank all of you who participated in the pre-purchase. We sent the check to the tin supplier and are moving forward.
It seemed like an impossible goal to beginning but with all of you and your generous help it really is appreciated.
More updates as I get them thank you. _________________ Paul@Barnhart-Studios
