Unfortunately, Old Sturbridge Village will not work. We were unable to make it work at a reasonable cost and other considerations.

So, we are open to suggestions for 2018. As we would like to hold it somewhere in the eastern part of the country, that is not a must at this time. so please let me here your suggestions.

Bob

Hancock Shaker Ville would have the space, but no historical connection with inhouse tinkers, relying on traveling tin smiths.

According to Bill McMillen, Eastfield is not a good place to hold the Convergence due to it's primitive setting.

How about Howell Living History Farm in Mercer Co NJ. They have a large meeting room in a modern visitor center.

Another thought: something in conjunction with the Goschenhoppen Folk Festival in Green Lane, Montgovery Co PA, or with Goschenhoppen Historians. web site: http://www.goschenhoppen.org/folk-festival.html

How about Genesse Country Village near Rochester NY. A fantastic venue, although I don't know if there is a tin shop. https://www.gcv.org/explore/historic-village/

Batsto Village in Wharton State Forest, NJ might also be viable.

I note at their website that they do have a tinshop. I heartily recommend this venue for 2018
